Rev. Julia Alliger - Pastor

Pastor Julia graduated from Duke Divinity School in 2003 and is an elder in the United Methodist Church. She was a nurse for many years before beginning a journey in a different kind of healing. She is married and has two sons, George (with the dog) and Brian (without the dog).

"One of my favorite songs is Chris Tomlin's "God of the City". I have lived and worked in and around Durham for many years and I love its diversity and its complexity. And I am drawn to its need for God. A city full of people who need the healing power of God in their families and in their lives. As the song goes: 'Greater things are still to come, and greater things are yet to be done in this city...' Come and join us at Duke's Chapel as we work together to bring God's love and God's light to anyone and anyplace where it is needed."
